Communication and Sound has been the theme for the children in Year 1 this half term and they visited Milton Keynes Museum to learn about how communication has changed through history. The children enjoyed learning about the history of telephone connections and had a look at an old telephone switchboard. Amongst other exhibits, they also examined non-verbal forms of communication, such as Morse code, smoke signals or telegrams and, exploring printing press equipment, learned how the first books were made.
